Witan arrived at Dork's pristine pitch with some great new players and new stand in captain Ben Wright. Jeremy staked an early Haddock claim arriving 10 mins before the match. The game started quickly with Dorks putting on pressure. 25 mins in and Witan were 1 down. Keir saved the first shot with the second best dive of the game but was unlucky with the rebound. Witan responded with some lovely passing as the newbies in midfield began to flourish. After some half time jelly babies supplied by Adam, Witan played a brilliant second half. Josh scores 2 goals in quick succession. His first a lovely low finish across the goalkeeper after a quality pass from Tom Bangerter. The second goal was a tap in which came from some lovely teamwork and pressure after Jeremy hit the crossbar. Witan then parked the bus and held out for the win superbly. A great team performance with some exciting new players.
Debson 'Dave" De Souza pulled in a match winning CAM display Kaka would be proud of. Michael put in an imposing midfield performance showing both strength and guile.
Ben Deli Fuente played through the pain with his 84 blisters and shut out the strikers.
Also worth mentioning Almos picking up fish for literally being a fish and diving like a Tom Daly sensation with cries of "cut across" him being heard by the incoming defender who decided to let the spectacle unfold!
Witan 1s came out on top with a 2-1 win.
